As part of our lightning protection plan which incorporates lightning protection designs for buildings, open areas, we now offer an earth resistivity testing service. For the efficient performance of a lightning protection system it is essential that a low impedance ground be provided to facilitate the dissipation of the lightning energy into the ground. As soil and soil conditions vary greatly from region to region, soil (earth) resistivity will also vary significantly. It is essential that an accurate soil reading is achieved. This will enable you to design the grounding system best suited for the soil condition. |
