We created the most versatile locator 8869. The 8869 can locate in three active frequencies —815Hz, 8kHz, and 82kHZ— and the passive 50/60~ frequency to ensure flexibility in demanding environments. What's more, we've slimmed down what you need to carry into the field. The 8868 package is now housed in a smaller, lightweight canvas case, replacing the bulky plastic box of the 8860.

Like the 8860, the 8869 can locate cables and pipes and can double as a fault locator with the optional ground return probe. The standard interface can be read in both English and symbology for international applications. The 8869 also insures more accurate locates with our push-button depth, signal strength display and current measurement features.

The 8868 optional equipment includes the Fault Locator for fault pinpointing, Sondes for locating cast iron and non-metallic pipes and conduits, as well as the Flexicoupler and Hard Coupler for signal applications when direct connections are not possible.
